Initially
there was just the pain seeing asset managers come to Germany with
a lot of enthusiasm and a seemingly endless budget and waving them
good-bye once their budget was depleted and their hopes destroyed.
Then I figured there must be a better way for them to work and sell
their services here.
Then we recalled
what had fascinated our senior MD most in his professional carreer.
It was "convexity" in fixed income. As a fund manager
you can (and should) add convexity. In fact, the more you own the
better your portfolio performs in rising and falling rates scenarios.
If
you don't offer
your clients the choice they will get the choice elsewhere and choose
another supplier.
That
created the whole business idea. Providing convexity to the
asset management business(financial maths), providing sharper
vision (optics) and building bridges between asset managers
and the German speaking markets.
We are committed to providing our clients
with Asset Management products and services that meet their requirements
and are tailored to their asset allocation goals. At the same time
we are committed to providing our principals with access to a very
exciting market.
We
did not start this business to merely sell products. We seek to
add value by presenting those suppliers of products to our asset
management clients which are likely to significantly enhance portfolio
performance. Be it through the addition of a further asset class
or by modifying an existing portfolio. We deliver producers to your
doorstep that cannot or do not wish to establish their own presence
in our market.
These
products should enable our clients and principals to do an even
better job. Be it adding such product to our clients' investment
portfolio or selling your product.
It
is our aim to become part of this improvement process.
